#1. AntShares (soon to be called as "NEO") gets the number one ranking this week for several reasons. The founders have made it very clear that their intention is to not only compete with Ethereum, but to be technologically superior in multiple, obvious ways. In addition to that, Antshares is based in China and has a huge advantage there, which happens to be at this point in time, the heart of the cryptosphere. Finally, Antshares value is currently around 1.5% that of Ethereum which leaves plenty of room for appreciation.
#2. Geocoin is a hidden gem of a crypto! The downside is the development team seems a bit small and quiet at the moment. However, this idea is pure gold! Combining crypto currency with geospatial data is going to be a game-changer for multiple industries. I will not elaborate further at this time, since I plan to accumulate more while this "on the grid" coin is still off the grid of most investors! Hard to imagine a way that this doesn't increase 100x from this level.
#3. Chronobank is another unique application of the transformative power of the blockchain technology. They seek to update an industry that is very outdated and clumsy, the recruitment industry. I have personal experience about how terribly ineffective the current process is, even for major companies, to find and keep the talent they need in today's economy. This is an extremely large opportunity and Chronobank appears to be very ambitious in the various potential markets they are looking to disrupt. This won't stay at $13 million market cap for long.
#4. Edgeless is taking on one of the most corrupt and lucrative businesses - gambling. They are seeking to utilize the blockchain to bring transparency and fairness to a historically shady and rigged industry. They say, "the house ALWAYS wins!" Well, that may be true, but they don't have to win by a 10 to 1 margin! Edgeless plans to remove the 'house edge' (casino advantage) and gamblers everywhere will finally have a fair chance at hitting the jackpot. This is a great example of the blockchain improving every industry that it touches.
#5. Mysterium is pursing a niche market that happens to be worth around $45billion at the moment. They are looking to provide VPN services for everyone that are completely decentralized and private. In an age when government spying on the public is at a peak, and monopolies of the tech industry are rampant, this idea just makes perfect sense. Mysterium is in the right place at the right time with the right product that the world really wants and needs. There are coins with the potential to increase 100x in price and this is one of them.
#6. Steem should not be hard to promote on this site. The people who are here can see that the future of social media needs a dose of social justice and accountability that only blockchain technology can provide. No one likes a bully, whether that bully is on a playground in school, or the CEO of one of the largest companies (monopoly) in the world. Society doesn't always act fairly for everyone all the time, but with distributed power, comes a sense of fairness and justice that allow us to advance together. This community and movement will only continue to grow. So might as well hop on the train - full STEEM ahead!
#7. Patientory is yet another unique application of blockchain to a field that desperately needs an overhaul. Free and easy way to store and manage your health information and get the best answer to any healthcare question. Complete, accurate, secure, and readily available medical records is a big challenge. If PTOY can streamline the healthcare process, that will be worth far more than it's current market cap of $13 million.
#8. Numeraire is hard to pronounce and probably even harder to conceptualize. Think IBM Watson artificial intelligence meets Wolf on Wallstreet. It's a new kind of hedge fund built by a network of data scientists. They intend to use data analytics to create a super trading algorithm. It's hard enough to trade against other humans, never mind the sum total of the smartest people in the world! How long before our money is finding it's way into their fund? Well, if you can't beat them, join them!
#9. If Bitcoin is like http for money, Zcash is https—a secure transport layer. Ok, so if you aren't into web hosting you might not understand (or care about) that statement. Basically, there are people in the world that believe they should be able to own and transfer wealth anonymously without the prying eyes of Big Brother or Uncle Sam spying on their every transaction. (also known as FREEDOM) For those people (I salute you!), Zcash provides anonymous transactions of crypto currency with the security and fairness of the blockchain. Could it possibly be used for nefarious purposes? Possibly. But would it be more nefarious than the Central banks enslaving the entire planet through their debt-backed Ponzi scheme of fiat money?? I think not.
#10. Namecoin is an experimental open-source technology which improves decentralization, security, censorship resistance, privacy, and speed of certain components of the Internet infrastructure such as DNS and identities. Again, if you TRUST your government goons like the CIA, NSA, NGA, FBI with unlimited power and authority to snoop and hack anytime they want, then this might not be the crypto currency for you. On the other hand, if you enjoy your freedom of speech and believe that the internet should NOT be censored by communist/tyrannical regimes (looking at you China and USA) then Namecoin offers an invaluable service to all of us! Oh, and registering and hosting a domain costs only .02NMC or about 5cents at today's price.
This post represents my view and opinion of the cryptosphere at this time. It is not to be considered investment advice. There is a good chance that I may own or will soon own any or all of these coins. I would love to hear any comments or tips which cryptos you think may be better than these!

Thanks for this post, plenty of follow ups for me. I've not encountered half of these before.
Ya... There are so many good ideas coming from this space it is hard to keep up with all of them. What usually catches my eye are the ones that apply the blockchain technology to a unique industry or application, especially those markets that are grossly inefficient.
Great post, have not heard of MYST, EDGE, TIME, or GEO before. Will look into them. Also your post covers a goood array of use cases for blockchain.
Great list of Cryptocurrencies here, some that I have not researched yet... Thank you cryptosphere I have learned something new from this 🙌😎
