Since bitcoin was launched in 2009, there are still many people who are new to bitcoin and even many don't know it at all. Generally for beginners who are new to bitcoin it might be a bit confusing to convert this bitcoin unit.

Using bitcoin units for everyday transactions is very impractical and prone to errors. The value of one bitcoin is now too large for everyday transactions.

For this reason, units are used to represent smaller values of bitcoin, including: milli Bitcoin, micro Bitcoin and Satoshi.
Satoshi, mBTC and uBTC are fractional units in Bitcoin (BTC).

Milli bitcoin
One milli of bitcoin is worth one per thousand bitcoin (0.001 bitcoin). One bitcoin consists of one thousand milli bitcoin. Milli bitcoin is abbreviated (mBTC) and reads mi-bit.

Micro bitcoin
One bitcoin micro is worth one million million of bitcoin (0,000 001 bitcoin). One milli bitcoin consists of one thousand micro bitcoin and one bitcoin consists of a million micro bitcoin. Micro bitcoin is abbreviated (μBTC) and reads yu-bits or bits.

Satoshi
This is the smallest unit of bitcoin. This unit name is taken from the name of the inventor of Bitcoin: Satoshi Nakamoto. One bitcoin consists of one hundred million Satoshi. One bitcoin micro consists of 100 Satoshi and one milli bitcoin consists of 100 000 Satoshi.

Bitcoin decimal fractions are Satoshi, mBTC and uBTC. To find out the writing of decimal numbers

Please note the fractions below:
mBTC / mili Bitcoin = 1000 parts of bitcoin, or written 0.001BTC
uBTC / micro Bitcoin = 1000000 part of bitcoin, or written 0.000001BTC

Further examples:
1 BTC = 1000 mBTC = 1 000 000 μBTC = 100 000 000 Satoshi
1 mBTC = 0.001 BTC = 1000 μBTC = 100 000 Satoshi
1 μBTC = 0.000 001 BTC = 0.001 mBTC = 100 Satoshi
1 Satoshi = 0.000 000 01 BTC = 0,000 01 mBTC = 0.01 μBTC

The international bitcoin consensus recommends units of µBTC or also called bits as units used for daily transactions.
