Trading Crypto requires patience and luck

The statement in the title of this post must not come a a surprise. Still beside the patience needed for the actual trading I have also experienced and am still experiencing the following two nerve wrecking issues that most non-crypto traders would not come across.

  1. The first one I have already discussed here on Steemit and it is the case of my 28+ LTC that is in limbo on my Ledger wallet, due to, what I can tell, a bug in the wallet implementation. Checkout my latest post on this issue here.
  2. The second one I haven't discussed yet, has to do with exchanges that lock up your money until you have verified your account, while they are to busy to actually verify your account. Sound familiar? Does a name pop-up in your head? Yes, well in my case it is Bittrex. Just check out this story on twitter: ~~~ embed:941381621659320320. It is about Bittrex halting new signups due to the large spike in new signups. Great for Crypto, but just look at all the people / customers complaining about their funds being locked up in unverified accounts. twitter metadata:Qml0dHJleEV4Y2hhbmdlfHxodHRwczovL3R3aXR0ZXIuY29tL0JpdHRyZXhFeGNoYW5nZS9zdGF0dXMvOTQxMzgxNjIxNjU5MzIwMzIwLiBJdCBpcyBhYm91dCBCaXR0cmV4IGhhbHRpbmcgbmV3IHNpZ251cHMgZHVlIHRvIHRoZSBsYXJnZSBzcGlrZSBpbiBuZXcgc2lnbnVwcy4gR3JlYXQgZm9yIENyeXB0bywgYnV0IGp1c3QgbG9vayBhdCBhbGwgdGhlIHBlb3BsZSAvIGN1c3RvbWVycyBjb21wbGFpbmluZyBhYm91dCB0aGVpciBmdW5kcyBiZWluZyBsb2NrZWQgdXAgaW4gdW52ZXJpZmllZCBhY2NvdW50cy58 ~~~

These two issues might be resolved in time and I might see my funds back, but I suggest you all take care and avoid these issues by not using or at least carefully using any wallet or any exchange. This business and it's technology is still in it's infancy and therefore full of bugs and unexpected consequences.

Luckely, or maybe wisely, I did not hold all my funds in one single wallet or one single exchange. I suggest you all do the same if you have any serious amount of money invested in Cryptos.

Have patience and be safe...
