2013, 2017, 2021. If you're into crypto, you know those as blockbuster years on the charts. When is the next? Here's a look at the overall crypto market through 10 years, with major inflows every fourth year.
The bowl pattern this chart makes, on both the micro and the macro scale, are very clear. It's like huge ovals were used to dream up this chart.
We could even draw them in.
I put a blue star on each past peak, and one where the ovals predict the next to be.
Looks like mid-to-late 2025 for the next big spike.
My recent look at the Bitcoin chart said the same thing...
But the market cap chart makes it seem like prices are getting a little ahead of themselves.
Maybe there will be a correction and consolidation later this year, and then new highs in 2025?
Pullbacks along the way are expected and normal, so this scenario isn't too unlikely. That's definitely one way to get from where we are now, to a new all-time high in 18 months.
Or maybe the pattern isn't going to repeat quite so closely, and we're in for a continuation of the current run?
Who knows?
The crypto market has thus far mostly been driven by the fact that money is constantly flowing in... sometimes faster than others. And of course, the 4 year Bitcoin halving cycle (the next being in 2 months). Fundamentals (like crypto industry news events, exchange crashes, celebrity endorsements, and scandals) tend to have a temporary effect that disappears as the overall trend resumes.
But maybe the geopolitical situation is such that, for lack of a better phrase, "maybe it's different this time". World War 3 is breaking out, global markets and supply chains are teetering, globalist elites are trying to take over the world, and new technologies are quickly changing the game. We can't necessarily assume the old pattern will always perfectly repeat itself.
In other words, all bets are off.
But what it still looks like to me is - assuming the world holds together - the crypto market will continue to make gains through 2024 and 2025. Bitcoin will double or triple. The "alt coins" are likely to go up by x5, x10, and more.
