The SEC hearing is scheduled for today, there looks to be no reason for Ethereum to be ruled as a security according to the current laws.
The government is poking and prodding at how to contain the uncontainable.

I have experienced bear trap in the past. As you said if too many people expect it, it eventually doesn’t happen and then everyone who waited for this dip starts buying on the way up. It’s gonna be interesting to watch it. It’s fun though since I’m a long therm investor. South Korea relaxing regulation for crypto is just a start of good news. It’s always like that, flood of bad news replaced by flood of good news. SEC meeting “behind the closed doors” was just a laugh and noice of nothing. They just have no idea what blockchain and ETH is. Imagine what would happen if they ruled ETH as a security. All hell would get loose. Anyway with good news from Korea and sentiment still bullish I think we get this bear trap instead. Right now ETH at $757.00 and climbing.

Will Ethereum be dubbed a security by SEC? If so what will the implications be? Will it suffer a major hit in terms of its price and crash. Or will it crash but recover quickly as the long term fundamentals of Ethereum dont change. I suspect the latter is most likely to happen.

I wonder how huge impact of upcoming events is gonna be.As you say there's something coming out besides Consensus 2018,not as huge but still.Upcoming rise could be on of the factors why crypto will go moon this year.I mean it's not just that but another decent spike would make masses interest in crypto once again(propably even mainstream medias)I wonder how everything is going to roll.However I would love to know your opinion about current Steem state.I've been recently hearing a lot of hate going on about Steem and Ned himself.Mostly about bad management and wasting potential.Do you personally think that Steem is good currency to invest in?It's based on great project and has huge potential but as we all know there were MUCH bigger companies in the world which did fall because of mistakes that were made.Anyway thanks for posting interesting stuff once again😁🤔
This will certainly leads to a surge in the price of ethereum, but I don't like the idea of the sec to try and be involved in the ethereum blockchain because it will definately leads to manipulation of the ethereum blockchain on the long run.

I believe at the end ETH will figure these slow transactions issues. I agree on proof of stake and perhaps delegated proof of stake success will eventually push ETH up. That’s one of the main reasons along with smart contracts I’m invested in ETH and EOS as well. They will “not” eventually categorize ETH as a security. Look at today’s meeting. It was a just another FUD 😆 created by central banks as you mentioned. BTW “NO RULING TODAY” what a surprise! Brian Kelly is a good guy with common sense.
