In the long period of correction, it seems that the December $ 20,000 for bitcoin is the upper price bracket for crypto currency. But if you carefully study CoinMarketCap, you can find coins that are much more expensive.
Bit20 (BTWTY) — $766,995
The most expensive cryptoactive on CoinMarketCap is the BTWTY token, which is the index fund of the BitShares exchange. It includes 20 coins traded on this exchange - the most promising altcoyins, with the exception of Ripple. The creators considered that Ripple is not really decentralized blocking, and excluded it from Bit20. On the 21st of each month, Bit20 starts an algorithm that recounts the index, including new items in it and recalculating the ratio of already existing ones. You can buy a share of the token, but it's quite a complicated procedure - there is an instruction.
Project-X (NANOX) — $288,910
The Nanox coin is issued in a single number and is traded only on the Yobit exchange. At the same time, only a tiny fraction of the asset is in circulation - 0.078264 NANOX. The creators of the project remain anonymous, but some users believe that it was released by the owners of Yobit.
42-сoin (42) — $60,826
42-coin is released in a limited edition of 42 units. The coin is traded on the exchanges Cryptopia, Livecoin, Trade Satoshi. In 2014, 42-coin cost 1197 BTC, or about $ 1 million.
We asked Dinar Semenov, a crypto-trader with five years of experience in Otkrytie.Broker and the investment department of Sberbank, why this coin is not as popular as bitcoin.
"The founders say they wanted to create a rare digital asset, like rare earth metals. But this has no practical meaning. In addition, the 42-coin is almost not minimized due to the algorithm, which significantly complicated the process of creating new coins. And also the fear is caused by the fact that the first coins of the project, most likely, were created by the owner, which invariably leads to manipulation of the course, so we see such a high value of the asset, "Dinar believes.
BitBTC (BITBTC) — $9329
This is a derivative product for Bitcoin, which is traded on the BitShares platform. The value of this asset is tied to the cost of bitcoin, but it can fluctuate both above and below the price of the main crypto currency.
Russian Miner Coin (RMC) — $8305
RMC tokens are released in limited quantities, currently there are about 1500 tokens in circulation. Similar tokens are issued for the internal community of investors, where certain privileges are levied on them. Community Russian Miner Coin offers the exchange of RMC for its new development - the Multiclet processor on the chip with the same name, which should increase the efficiency of mining several times, as well as the new-generation bitcoin minicar under the Sunrise brand. At the same time, the team does not yet seek to enter the world's crypto-exchanges, but is engaged in the development of the project after receiving additional investments.
BT1 (CST) — $18,273
Despite the high nominal rate, BT1 (CST) does not have capitalization and trading volume, which may puzzle novice crypto investors. It's simple: in this case we are talking about one of two pairs of trading futures, issued by the Bitfinex exchange. The release of BT1 (CST) allowed traders to speculate on the potential activation of the SegWit2x protocol. The last operation on them, according to CoinMarketCap, was January 10, 2018.
Is it worthwhile for an ordinary cryptoinvestor to deal with the most expensive crypto-currencies? "Buy any of the above tokens (except those that do not have trading volumes) is possible on those exchanges where they are represented, and you can earn on them in the same way as any other crypto currency. For this, it is worth paying attention to the analysis of the project itself and the overall situation on the market. But at the same time, the risks of such investments are incomparably higher, because the price of such limited-emission tokens often artificially increases over time. This creates the effect of a growing asset, for no apparent reason, which attracts more and more new investors, "said Dinar Semenov.

On an absolute scale, BTC is still the most expensive coin out there.
I agree with you
