DESCRIPTION
Based on the so-called
Mimblewimble protocol. Beam is
a scalable, fungible, and private cryptocurrency (by default).
NOTES:
-No premise, no ICO.
-Has been hyped massively by my fellow social media influencers.
-All team members, investors, and advisors are allegedly subject to a
5-year vesting period.
-Major MimbleWimble protocol shortcoming: transactions seemingly
require sender and receiver to be online simultaneously.
Some have claimed that the MimbleWimble protocol is superior to
Bitcoin, and thus also that Beam could be big. After having watched
several interviews with Beam CEO, Alexander Zaidelson, I feel safe
saying this is an amateur project. However, given the truly massive
coverage in the crypto space, Beam could have a future. Right now,
however, it seems to be on a clear downtrend, probably facing a
correction after all the hype.
