Bitstamp is the biggest European FIAT/BTC exchange. They are also the only nationally licensed EU exchange.
I have noticed those XRP/USD XRP/BTC pairs on Bitstamp like 2 days ago but there was no info about this anywhere nor it worked so i have awaited to make my post.
Just right now they sent email with information (edited by me to keep things short and to the point):
We are delighted to announce the launch of XRP trading on the Bitstamp exchange. A digital asset that is native to the Ripple Consensus Ledger, XRP will be paired with USD and EUR. The option to make XRP deposits and withdrawals will commence tomorrow, with full trading functionalities to commence on 17 January 2017.
If any further excuses to start trading were required, Ripple has a generous XRP incentive program in place.
For initial traders there is such discounts:
0% fees until 10 February 2017;
75% discount on fees until 28 February;
50% discount on fees until 31 March;
25% discount on fees until 30 April;
As of midnight on 1 May 2017, the fee schedule that applies to bitcoin trading will then also apply to XRP trading.
XRP is in top3 volume coins right now and we could say the news pumped it. XRP is the least loosing on price coin from top10 even with current total BTC dump.
Worth to watch this coin right now as the launch of markets may bring some real swings in price.
Remember on BitMex you can x100 leverage trade XRP.
Thanks for the heads-up! I was wondering why Ripple took off...
glad i could help :)
will sign up with these now!,thankyou for heads up
