With the ever increasing popularity of cryptocurrencies, crypto mining has also caught eyes of many miners. Opera, web browser had integrated anti-crypto mining in their ad-blocker for desktop in last December. This time they have announced to have this feature in mobile browser.
This anti-crypto features is to avoid Cryptojacking. Cryptojacking is a process where a computer desktop or mobile devices is used without the knowledge/consent of the owner for crypto-mining. This process uses a large amount of battery and slows down the device.
According to reports, more than 3 million are exposed to cryptojacking.Opera, web browser, by blocking crypto mining scripts, have ensured its users that their smartphones will continue to run smoothly.
