Red pill me on universal basic income. I see it as a welfare scheme to ensure people become TV/smartphone-addicted fatties that are harmless to state power.
At no point can we give someone free money. Because then the system corrects itself and the free money becomes worthless.
Value of the money is not inherent. It's value is the value of the work we have to put forward to earn it.
