RE: COTTON COIN CONTEST - Final annoucement. Finally time to rest :)

in #crypto7 years ago

How can you make someone that is also a contestant in a contest a judge? In which part of the world is such a thing done? The first mistake in judging the contest is making fellow contestants a judge. The next mistake is using number of upvotes to determine which write up properly addressed the topic.
You said you people choosed post that talked more of cotton coin instead of cotton. Cotton coin will be used in the cotton industry and there's no way you can talk about cotton coin without talking about the cotton industry and the challenges it is facing that the cotton coin project is seeking to eliminate. Anyway, it's already over now, but everyone should be free to share their opinion because it's a free world and that was my opinion about the judgement of the contest

hi @

Look. I don't know what else to tell you. I've been very transparent with my actions. I involved over 20 people to help me with judging. This is very small community and we all did our best. Not only to chose our favourite entires but also to comment them and build engagement.

That's what it was all about. This contest has been created for people who want to help this community grow and small rewards were just addition to it.

Please keep in mind that this is all learning experience. My first sponsored contest ever.

No need to be so harsh. Im sorry that you are so dissapointed.

I think it's best if I won't be bothering you in the future as we really do not share similar values. I care about community. You seem to care mostly about yourself.

Which is perfectly okey.

It's just we're not "compatible". And we definetly share different set of goals and values.

Yours, Piotr

Lol...! You seem not to get what I'm trying to say. I'm not angry that i did not win in anyway. Should you know me personally, you would discover that i am one of the most selfless people you would ever meet. I'm trying to respond to that guy that said he was also a judge of the contest and a contestant as well. @crypto.piotr you have every right to choose whomever you want the winner of your contest to be, but just for the sake of fairness in your future contest, it would be more ideal to make non contest participants the judge. I'm not angry in anyway, just sharing my thought.

It seems most people in steemit don't know how to handle criticism without being sentimental about it. Criticism sometimes make us give our best and make things better. Not all criticisms are influenced by selfish interest or whatever you may call it. do have a nice day

Good morning @resuscitate

You seem not to get what I'm trying to say

Please accept my apology if Im not getting what you're trying to say. Perhaps it's because Im not english speaker or perhaps it's easy for misunderstandings online, when people do not see and interact with each other.

The truth is that Im fully aware that I won't be able to please everyone during this contest. I predicted 15-20 entries and I had limited budget. Somehow I reached over 60 entries and that was the moment I knew that some people will be disapointed and I need to handle it the best way I can.

This was my first sponsored contest ever. Im only learning and I appreciate every feedback.

I'm not angry that i did not win in anyway.

The most important for me is to make sure that noone will end up being angry. What I was trying to do is to find a way to help this community grow.

Very wise words.

I believe that I actually handle criticism and this is all mosly learning experience.

Sometimes (mostly online) it's just hard to recognize when we are encountering criticism and when it's just someone realising anger.

Again thank you for taking time to reply. I appreciate it a lot.

Yours, Piotr
