I agree with everything you say, except about not "feeding the beast." Unless you feed the beast some crumbs, by occasionally using Youtube, Facebook and Twitter, etc, it's difficult to get new recruits for Steem. :)

That is true. I quit my YouTube channel out of principle and I am confident I can find other ways to get people to join.
I am confident you can too, as Youtube is only one way to access the masses. But you gotta keep some way to access them, maybe Twitter. :)
I still use Twitter, but I will be traveling to crypto meet up and talks, when there is a will there is a way. Plus, YouTube won't be nearly as popular in a few years ;)
