RE: Schrodinger's Blockfolio

in #crypto8 years ago

ok, so this sold me on downloading the app - yet I'm fucking clueless on how to input the number of coins in any given asset.

you'd think this would be straightforward and intuitive, yet it seems completely elusive. and oddly, there is no support section, FAQ, or anywhere that says how.

am I missing something so ridiculously obvious under my nose, or what is the secret to inputting the number of tokens in any given asset to complete the portfolio info?

Haha!
I'm glad I did, welcome to manic territory!!

So in the right corner you have a " + " sign. Click on that.
Select coin: here you'll find ALL coins. Search yours, let's say "steem"
Then you select exchange
and then you have 3 options:
buy/sell/watch only.
If you click "buy" you'll see that it says how much is "current price" or you can enter the "trade price" you bought at and the quantity.
Then you click "save"!

If yoiu just want to monitor a price but not your holdings select "watch only".

I hope this helps!!

hmm... does seem weird to have to enter the "buy" amount at a certain price, rather than just input how much you have (accumulated over months).

nonetheless, seems to have worked.

I kinda like the simplicity of the CoinCap app in this regard - although the charts in Blockfolio are definitely way better.

thanks!
