I think that new coins, should also be looked at as HODLs. I bought EOS at .67, sold at 1.20 thinking the wave was done. It bumped to 2 and I bought back in. Now it's almost $10.. probably is, I had 455 and now I have 100.....
I think that there is a middle ground of long-term vs short-term. I think that most short-term gains can be long term.
I currently went for some short-termers. SC and TRX... Not sure how I feel about holding them super long term.... But I have made quiet a good chunk of change on them and I think they have more room to grow.
I ahve also thought about trying to build my ethereum portfolio instead of Bitcoin.....
Try to maximize my ethereum holdings.....
Too bad blockfolio doesn't allow you to switch to worth in ethereum instead of BTC.
Eeeegh, those hurt!
So regret not buying Tron in ICO - was looking at it, but lost interest while reading white paper. That one hurt.
You CAN arrange this for certain tokens, however - adding the token and selecting the ETH pair, which will provide the charts and numbers in ETH. Same also on Coin Stats
Wow, Haejin sure is butt hurt. Kinda sad.
hold to your greed you may fell that I missed on other opportunities but gaining a return of 2x is also a big achievement

A Priceless Tip For Steemit Newbies Seeking Followers & Upvotes... (The #1 Thing To Do And NOT Do)
When you demonstrate consistent value contributions to the community, you might receive my vote. Not until then. And never for contributing nothing but begging.
ok thank the master for his advice I hope I will post about the community for the coming of my steemit master who I love.
In a world where HODL is king, we can’t deny there is money to be made in other coins. For example, even though the markets took a dramatic turn for the worst yesterday, VIB rose 100% on Binance in the last 24hrs. Never heard of the coin, but it would have been amazing to ride the wave up while everyone else fell with “traditional” coins. Just takes time to research
Your gifs are just amazing.
I love them.
Thanks.
your welcome, though can't claim to have created them. :-)
I am big into IOTA and EOS. iota.org and eos.io
Check VeChain and Walton.
I’d be quite surprise if they didn’t go just as big in due time.
Will do. Thanks for the tips.
this is a good work comrades, the important thing remains the spirit in work, success is always for you friends.
very nice congratulations
I mostly read through some of myself, and the good ones I hear from social media. Which includes steemit and twitter.
Great idea and the ability to also do it via steemit just make it better but at the end one should not believe this crypto expert at 100% cause at the end we are all humans and there is always room for wrong analysis.
Although, getting data/analysis of a particular coin would go a long way enabling you making a good or right investment plan
Thanks man, I just managed to start a portfolio as btc started jumping two weeks ago, it's been a wild ride. The recent fall hasn't bothered me much but I wish I hadn't sold and powered up all of my sbd before his Christmas sale.
I'm surprised you didn't want to diversify. My first goal was to get my hands on a few big names like dash and litecoin. Second goal is to get a little bit of everything. Just waiting for the sbd to do so. And low steem so I can power up would be nice too :-)
So serious question for those who wish to reply...
I’m a minnow with little money to invest in crypto currency. I have a portfolio of less than 300 dollars in each of the big 3 coins. Basically it’s work 500-1000 dollars right now.
How do I get more involved and trade in and out of other currencies while avoiding fees?
I’m finding that it’s hard when you don’t have lots of money to dump into this. I’m married and my wife doesn’t support it so I’m limited to my current investments.
Can anybody give me some advice ?
Thank you
@theessential
I use YouTube and reddit. I do not just read what the OP says but also comments on the threads are fairly useful. I discovered steemit on a comment on YouTube. So, yeah I believe they are fairly good resource to check things. I follow the preferred coin too on Twitter to see what the followers are saying. Then I also check the performance of the cryptocurrency in the coinmarketcap.com. If all looks good I buy. That was how I bought Antshares (now Neo). I think Ark and Walton is another great project. Let's see how it goes and thank you for sharing these tips you use to measure the performance of crypto to invest in.
its the time to HODL and the market will keep on recovering thanks for sharing this post would be following to learn some amazing things about crypto :)
Very good job @rok-sivante
My best advice has come from Unity Technologies’ Software Engineers who are passionate about crypto. Having a direct line to some of the top computer scientists has been invaluable in my introduction and research.
My passion, however, has been reignited by one my lifetime friends @saywha
Damn, that does sound like a pretty good direct line. :-)
What is your view of Steem ? Do you think its going to pull back from where it is at the moment?
