ETFs have to hold the actual asset. So before anyone can invest in a BTC ETF, the fund manager has to buy BTC.
ETFs are regulated, so many more types of funds can invest in regulated ETFs than can invest in the underlying crypto-asset.
If th ETF is approved, then some investors will want the higher-risks and higher returns. Some investors will move assets into the ETF from more traditional investments. This will drive up the price.
The price will rally higher, the more people decide to invest. This will be the most positive news we have seen in many months.
