"A crypto bro becoming a millionaire with Shiba Inu coin"
created with nightcafe.studio

Every now and then...

I login to CoinBase to poke around. I don't keep any crypto in the exchange and usually only use it as an offramp to fiat when I need such a service.

But I still login now and then because they have a section called "Learn and Earn" or something like that. In that section, "new" or existing cryptos make little slide show presentations about themselves and usually reward you with somewhere between $1 and even as much as $15 or $20 worth of their coin or token, mostly for reading their marketing slides or perhaps doing a transfer using their coin or signing up for some service they offer in some cases.

Well sure enough as I logged in this time, there were two such opportunities. One for $3 in bitcoin rewards and one for $12 worth of another new token. I reviewed the materials, passed the easy and obvious multiple choice single question "quizzes" about them and got the rewards. Boom, a few moments later I had some cryptos in my asset column worth $15.00

So I did what anybody would do! They don't trade Hive or HBD on coinbase and withdrawing the amount as fiat seemed silly, so I bought good old Shiba Inu. I used to own a lot of it, but took an exit from it sometime during the covid times, and don't even remember why now.

But my $15 got me 1.1M and change in Shiba Inu coins!

It ain't much but its honest meme coin money, so that's cool.

Now I can casually drop it at all those parties I go to, that yeah, I have a million plus cryptos in my exchange account! Sure sure, its only really about $15, but its really pretty cool having a million of something in a financial exchange anyway. Makes you feel like ... well... a millionaire! Even if its a million tiny, teeny, itsy bitsy ten-thousandth sized slivers of US cents.

So the real point here is, if you have a coinbase account (at least in the USA) and haven't looked inside it in a while, it can be worth a few bucks to check into it and see if you have any of the Earn & Learn rewards freebie things awaiting you there.

You might be a millionaire too! If you are, remember who reminded you to become rich enough to afford a single McDonalds Big Mac meal (in select markets only) and maybe share your fries with me.

Here's to your future free, modest, wealthiness!

Sincerely, your newly minted millionaire buddy,
@SirCork

Woooooot! A free $15 why not - grab it. But is Shiba Inu still a thing? Are you sure you didn't pour your hard earned $15 down the drain? I mean those Coinbase 'tasks' can be really taxing!!

Speaking of which, Coinbase used to offer me loads of those 'learn and earn' opportunities but the most I have ever earned in one go is $5, they really like you! However, most of the tokens they are promoting turn out to be shitcoins so I just cash them out immediately. I guess that's why Coinbase hasn't given me any opportunities to learn and earn in over a year now!

I always cash them or convert them. For 15 bucks, with shib in the toilet like all the others, it only has to move like 10 decimal places right of the decimal to make a buck on it. Straight up roulette wheel on it, but I know its community still believes, and they are allegedly making some positive changes and increasing their burns. My goal is to make it from $15 to $16 with it and then I'll probably get bored and move it to some other losing bet anyway, as I always tend to do, which is why I am not rich.

Then we need to change that don't we?

Maybe. It's an unpopular opinion, but money is kind of overrated.

Hehe, I was actually interested to see how you hot the $1m haha, but you got me there.
However, it's pretty cool having a coin of that amount maybe you could put me through to join in this learn and earn thing.

Well, the only place I have seen it is on CoinBase.com but they have had this feature for years. I presume it would be for USA coinbase users, as I am not sure if they operate in other countries. They might? Could be worth checking it out. Then you just go in to coinbase online and its an option on the basic home page to learn about various cryptos and get a little crypto reward for doing it.

I use Coinbase in the same fashion, but often ignore those little ads to watch the slides. May give them a second look.

Free money is free money, Ive probably pulled a couple hundred bucks out of that earn and learn crap over the last decade.

I always am sad that I'm not allowed to do that. They blacklisted my SSN some time ago do to confusion over the fact that I am an American but I live in Japan and have my home address here. That shouldn't be so confusing, but support said (said after about a zillion emailed exchanged, and after calling every number I could find for them a large number of times) it seems like I was trying to cheat them and so my SSN was blacklisted and I would never be allowed to use the service.

Using coinbase for trading? I couldn't care less. Not being allowed to get all this free money they give away? Tragic!

Anyway, enjoy being a millionaire!

Ah that sucks, the joys of being honest I guess. I intend to make sure the US limited things I touch never ever get told I live in Costa Rica. I'm willing to bend that truth. They don't need to know.

I will enjoy being a millionaire. And apparently its predicted that in 2084, Shib might get to half a cent!
