Just came across these really interesting articles on uber
Nvidia UBER Partnership
This first one details the new Nvidia + UBER partnership where Nvidia will be supplying AI chips to uber (as well as Volkswagen) for their upcoming self-driving cars! It's worth knowing that several other car companies are looking into Nvidias AI chip. I'm really considering investing in Nvidia stock because it looks like they're gonna break out of the computer graphics market into the already lucrative AI industry, not to mention the success they've gained from the crypto revolution.
UBERS Flying Taxi Project
This last article makes light of the fact that UBER have hired Teslas main battery boffin to work on their eVTOL project 'uber elevate' which aims to have flying taxis in LA, Dubai and Dallas-Fort Worth in the near future. It's a very ambitious project however, they are hiring staff which suggests stuff is getting underway.
Capitalism is a blessing as well as a curse to the society.
Based on case by case basis if the technology can detect or face a problem and give a solution that great if not it is disastrous .
At present in the society if the technology can solve more individual's problems with a greater percentage exceeding 60 to 70% of the total population than it's good otherwise disastrous. Hope it does good.
True, capitalism has so many flaws but one thing it excels at is innovation. Hopefully these advancements won't be hoarded by a few huge companies.
