If you have been in the crypto space for a while now, you would have come across at least three of these words; FUD, FOMO, HODL
FUD: short for FEAR, UNCERTAINTY AND DOUBT. Trust me I had no idea what this meant until about a month ago. Lol. Well, a lot of us investors have to face this damn thing, every damn time because of how volatile the crypto world is right now. Questions such as "would this coin pick up"? "am I making a shitty investment"? "what would my investment be worth if I leave it for some years". This is entirely normal for any investor, but then what do you do when faced with this? For me, I keep my fingers crossed and hope. Note also that, FUD is creates by whales (big bug investors) who want a large chunk of profit for themselves and the easiest way is to scare smaller investors by creating FUD
FOMO: short for FEAR OF MISSING OUT. Oh this one happened to me some two weeks ago. Guess what!!! It caught up with me anyway. I had preferred for a very "HOT" ICO, Digitex.. I funded my wallet and did all that was required.. You know what, it sold out in 17mins.. FOMO simply makes you spend above your means in order not to miss out on profit
HODL: short for HOLD ON FOR DEAR LIFE. Not much to say here, but even if your investments keep depreciating but you believe in them, keep strong and don't sell off.. Cos hey, you never know. Think what happened with ripple last year. 😉
