This is a revised story of my story written earlier here in Steemit.
As many of you might have thought the question; what are these recent movements of crypto value, I wanted to share my little story with you. I am someone who has been witnessing the crypto revolution for about five years, I made my first investment in Bitcoin in 2013, and after that it has been the bumpy, but most interesting ride. Pretty soon after I got interested in bitcoin I started to study blockchain principles and learnt that it wasn't just bitcoin, there was a whole technology called blockchain behind it. I got to know other digital currencies like Ripple, Ven, Litecoin etc. This was all just fascinating!
Then some hurdles came on my way, couple of digital wallet apps disappeared and became defunct in my mobile. I lost couple of hundred bucks just like that. Bugger! But hey, I saved a couple of magic words that the developer promised to be a saviour for my wallet content. Okay, I found out that there are other wallets where I can revive my assets with these twelve or some words that I had written down on a note. We rocked again!
A couple of years go by, and I can see the value of bitcoin going up and down, and I just don't pay too much attention to it. Perhaps because I learnt something from earlier years about investing in stocks etc. It is just better wait than short. The bitcoin is volatile, other currencies seem to be more stable..
Well, then sometime in 2016 or 2017 I remembered I had a couple of hundreds of bucks in a virtual mining platform called Zenminer. When trying to log in one day, around 2016, I noticed the whole thing had gone bust! Another bummer! Well, it's all in today's risk. This is the cost when you try something new, right?
Also, during this year I got interested more and more in blockchain and what Ethereum network is, how ICOs work etc. At the moment, I think the biggest opportunity and development lies in ETH.
Okay, and then we step towards the end of 2017 and the bitcoin had these amazing highs that got me thinking whether to cash something out or not. I did cash something out, about BTC 1 in the early December. Rest of the assets, a couple of bitcoins/ETHs/LTCs I have now, will rest assured. So, this wants to say I believe it will still rise and find its true level of valuation. I think BTC will go up in valuation because of its first-mover advantage. The party may not continue for ever, but surely it is not over yet! And remember, the greatest joy is the learning, as I think we are in the verge of something very big right now!
