Expedia Remove payment options With Bitcoin – company Travel America, Expedia.com no longer accept Bitcoin as payment. Travel by Expedia Bitcoin payments is not a prior notice to the user. Terms and conditions page indicates "Availability payments Bitcoin still available".
Expedia.com has supported payment of the Bitcoin since 2014 but the removal was spread when a posting appeared on Reddit. According to the users of Reddit:
Expedia.com, one of the biggest sites to book flights/hotels that used to take a bitcoin for years ... I went there to see the flight and noticed they no longer accept it. customer support said they stopped accepting it June 10. it sucks! many of us in the tech industry got most of our salary in bitcoin and it was very nice to use Expedia for flight. I will not use them again!<
When asked, the official representative of the Bitcoin confirmed no longer a payment. Christie Hudson, SR. Communications Manager at Expedia – North America, explains;
I can confirm that starting May 10, 2018, Expedia no longer supports Bitcoin as payment method. Currently, we do not feel that we can offer the best experience for those using Bitcoin. But will continue to evaluate the different options for flexible payment solutions offers to the tourists.<

It's not that weirrd, really. Despite the massive increase in crypto-users last year, there are still very few easily implementable crypto payment systems. Most of the ones available require that you store your income in some third party wallet and can only withdraw the money after you have reached a certain minimum limit.
