I think it is of little importance. granted, Steem goes up and down, But the only big platform on this blockchain is Steemit which makes even when the price goes down , the community itself keeps on going. it is not just people staring at their wallet for days with a sad face, but just people blogging and curating and sharing information with each other.
Bottom line, if Steemit does well , Steem will eventually too.
All off that is true, and you can look at it another way also .... higher price means confidence in steemit (look at it as if you don't know steemit out side steemit) you will say steemers are confident with steemit . Like what happened to btc .
