Fear, Bitcoin is the market leader. Most other currencies follow Bitcoin in a way. Shouldn't be like that in my opinion but it's how it is for now.
It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's a chance to get some for crypto's for a lower price. When people get fearful is an opportunity to get some crypto currency's for a cheaper price and make some profit. The only thing is when is the right time to buy?
