I think a lot of Litecoin's potential lies in the fact that it's still cheap. A lot of new investors are more likely to buy "whole" coins vs. a percentage of a coin. Psychologically, it's more appealing to hold several coins instead of a piece of a coin at the same value. Not to mention the stories of people buying Bitcoin and Ethereum at the same (or lower) price only to see them skyrocket in price. I have to admit that I often find myself falling into this category. It kind of makes it easier to calculate profits/losses based on whole values of USD. If I buy $45 of Bitcoin and the price of bitcoin goes up $200, I feel bummed that I'm only getting a fraction of the value that I'm seeing in the charts. If I buy $45 of Litecoin ( a whole coin) I am more excited because I know that every dollar increase is another whole dollar added to my portfolio. Just a thought.
