Since the inception of the blockchain and the cryptocurrencies that power it, there has been widespread adoption and continued interest in the possible applications in several sectors of the world’s economy and several segments of our everyday lives. Early adopters naturally started looking into the financial aspect. How it could be seen as a source of profit or income. The later adopters haven’t veered much from this but then the application scope has broadened as every part of our everyday life is being brought under the secure and transparent wings of the blockchain.
One thing to note however that blockchain is cannot be said to truly have made an impact if it only impacts on the lives of those that can afford to play in it.
This gap in the beneficial role to those that are typically not included in business plans had led to the noble and laudable 
LUCEM project.
It, as rightly depicted by the other name of its cryptocurrency, is bringing in the cryptocurrency of hope for the million and hundreds of millions of children out there desperately fighting to hold on to life as they cannot afford otherwise basic medical equipment or medicine. This is the ISKRA token that is to be used to power the project.
To gain access to these, all the requesting agency or NGO needs to do is a request for funding from LUCEM and then their project is the thoroughly vetted and verified by the team. After this, the project is then approved and the agency or NGO is required to pay a certain amount of # ISKRA tokens to avoid spam. When this is done, it is then displayed to the community and they vote on it. Once voting has completed and the project is approved, the ISKRA the agency paid is returned to them and their project is then funded as stipulated by the community.
The community in question is just anyone with ISKRA tokens. This means a very large amount of voters signifying a truly democratic process.
The ISKRA token is an ERC 20 token that is the lifeblood of the LUCEM project. It can be exchanged for a diamond in any of the diamond stores that have agreed to do so and this is done in accordance with the international RAPAPORT price list. On receipt of the diamonds, the ISKRA holders also get a GIA gift alongside.
Those diamond store owners get to keep their money in the fiat currencies of their choice as the ISKRA is turn purchased from them.
CONCLUSION
This project is truly a very laudable and commendable one as children are the most vulnerable in terms of social statistics and it is the time the world started doing something for them. Not only does this project do something for them, but it is also doing it in one of the noblest pattern possible. Putting a smile back on their faces and saving them from the clutches of death. This is, by all perspective, laudable.
