Consider this your 90-day eviction notice. Today Bitfinex posted that they will no longer be accepting verification requests from US residents. Here are the reasons they outlined:
All I keep on Bitfinex personally is my IOTA, and I'm now wondering where I can continue to trade it and safely hold it. I am also concerned that this may be setting a precedent. Do you think other exchanges will become exhausted by US regulations? I have also inquired on Twitter as to a bit of other coin remnants that are too small to move out. Who knows, one day those fractions of a coin may be worth quite a bit. They have yet to reply, but I don't want to lose my pennies!
I do most of my trading on Bittrex and have been quite happy thus far. On the other side of the coin... I'm sad to see Bitfinex leave the US. The platform has a lovely interface and has been adding interesting cryptocurrencies over time. I wish them the best on the global market!
US is too strict with the regulations especially cryptocurrency and no wonder US government is against bitcoin secondly they might afraid that dollar will slowly undervalued by bitcoin and altcoin which is obviously happening now and they can't impose taxes that's why they are not giving approval to licensing things like that. thats only my opinion. @alanajoy no worries just find other exchanges out there you will get use to it, leverage your portfolio me I get use to poloniex now I love bittrex too.
Yes I am currently on Bittrex with 98% of my holdings. That said, I had an issue with Poloniex over a month ago and they still have not so much as taken a glance at my support ticket. I transferred out SIA coin and provided them with the correct address. Their records show an "error" however my SIA never landed where it was sent and has not be put back on my Poloniex account either. Essentially, they have stolen my SIA coin and not addressed my support ticket in over a month. Alternately, Bittrex is always responsive on Twitter and I have never had any issue or incident. So I do my best to stick to that exchange for trades. I agree that the US is flailing to figure out how they can get a piece of the action, and I assure you they will figure it out. They are already starting to address certain ICO's... HODL on, it's going to be a bumpy ride and an amazing adventure!
oh that so sad, I heard that too many complainant about polo they been fucked up couple of months ago i guess, but fortunately am good, any way good luck to your journey to the cryptonation to the moon see ya there!

Hey THANKS!
That's terrible. I really like their UI. Does Bittrex offer EOS? That's mainly what I use Bitfinex for.
Right? Bummer! I don't think Bittrex offers EOS at this time, no.
