The Robinhood app will start letting users buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum at zero transaction fees, starting in February. Users will also be able to track prices and set up alerts for 14 other popular cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ripple, Ethereum Classic, Zcash, Monero, Dash, Stellar, Qtum, Bitcoin Gold, OmiseGo, NEO, Lisk, and Dogecoin.
The first trading in February will roll out to users in California, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, and New Hampshire.
I signed up to get on the waitlist for early access as I'm interesting in seeing how their platform handles trades when they roll out soon.
https://crypto.robinhood.com/ is where you can sign up for early access.
I wish they told us more. Will they have stop loss orders? Will they have a USD account so we can move funds from Crypto to Stocks easily? Do they intend to offer trading of other currencies later?
I agree some of the details are a big vague at this point. From what I understand you can connect a bank account and instantly transfer up to $1000 for trading, then can ACH more funds as needed. They've said they will have limit orders but not sure about full stop loss yet.
