I understand the argument, but nothing makes people react more than fear. There are a great deal of newbies coming into the market now and if they got hacked they would either give up or go to the banks. Only yesterday I saw an announcement in my local newspaper that my local bank was holding an ideas meeting to offer security for Bitcoin holders. So it is already beginning.

Whoever does not want to learn, he deserves a bank. But banks will be hacked first. They are honeypots. And they like to steal while putting “hacker attack” in their defense.
