The KoreCoin project has many markings of a legitimate project, a nice website, social media, but it's github reveals the dirty little secret no one pumping the project wants you to know.
One of the people hyping this project is BitocoinTalk user Mike Mike.

As you can see on the github, the KoreCoin project was abandoned in May 2015, over 2 years ago.
Unfortunately, this "project" meets the indicators of a pump and dump. MikeMike has made an elaborate attempt at making this project seem legitimate, but in crypto code is law and code doesn't lie.

Hi, I'm MikeMike who took over KORE. The KORE Team Projects are real. I have invested near 200k of my own money into development. IF some P&D people jump on the coin after a few who believe in the projects decided to promote it, that is not our fault and you know well they do it to many or most coins.
The difference is KORE is the real deal and I have not posted any lies.
I don't blame you with the myriad of scam alt coins to have your assumptions and we are not using the old source nor GIT. With a little serious DD and you could ask me personally what is up with the GIT etc before posting what is incorrect information could have alleviated your false statements that are damaging.
You should know those scams were the reason I took over the coin and a few others.
The Teams goals are to provide an alternative to these scams and help change the face of crypto.
The Developers and Team Members are required to sign an NDA, Provide a photo ID,
A picture of them holding it, A copy of a current bill for proof of current residence,
and to conduct themselves with Integrity and Honor.
This is not some hyped up "Dev Verified service" that dozens of coins have exploited or possibly even created for their greed.
It is in house, our policy.

New Dev is the oldest scam in the book, particularly when the "new dev" is the old pumper.
I agree on most "New Dev Scams" , seen them come and go and lost a good amount of BTC in a few, but I am not one of them.

I like a working product over a whitepaper and a dream. Besides for github inactive from a former dev who no longer works there is there anything wrong with the product other than the potential for a glitch or two that could be fixed ? I'm invested but I'm also open minded. Ashr have you visited the offices ? Video conference with dev team ? Tested product ? I'm not attacking just curious?? I would get out of someone could show me something to say this amazing wallet/browser with TOR built in will not work and why otherwise I'm sticking to it because it seems like it has potential

The github they've actively been promoting on bitcointalk, twitter, and their incomplete website is the one linked above. That github was NEVER a real project. Look at Numeraire on github (52 commits over months). PIVX (10k commits over 4+ years). Korecoin (6 commits over 5 days, 2 years ago).
This was never a project.
There isn't a project now. There's just enough to make you and others think there's one.
Second, Kore is positioned as a one stop solution - VOIP anon calls, anon browser with tor, shopping. In other words, when it's too good to be true and there are doubts about it's legitimacy, it's not true.
You will be proven wrong.
Just a matter of a few months.

After the dev left and some tried taking the coin over and IMO not doing it right.
I regrettably stepped forward and up to the plate. This is something I never intended nor wanted to do but was so fed up and had enough with the financial losses, corruption of scam coins and their devs, the damage to good decent people trying to help with their time, ideas and money I decided to put a KORE Team together. We had some huge uphill battles these last 2 years but are still here and will follow through on our promises.
Our meetings went on for 12 hours at times and after hundreds of hours and my research it was clear what was needed for privacy and security in our age,...
An OS and our own hardware.
Tor and other tech is a temporary fix we are offering while we "Do it right" as we can.
Perhaps do a little research over at XDA forums to see what else we are up to.

We are not responsible for a dev who ran away like so many and shut down the working PBX.
They closed sourced it and IMO it was not done right and to do it right is starting with the newer BTC CORE and going from there. We have no use for the old dev's source other than keeping the coin active till we roll out the new wallet.

By golly a scam running for so long, they even made a new PoS and have a very active git with the same team they have had for over a year now. They seem very dedicated to this scam even though the price of the coin has dropped to near nil! these must be some very dedicated scammers. It's almost as if they aren't a scam and were just having issues with development on a new git because they didnt have access to the old git. very odd scamming behavior, i will make sure to remember that a scam can have active, heavy, development by the same team and implement new features and new protocols.

Its not a scam. Marketing is not proof of pump and dump activity. luls in marketing do not make it a pump and dump. Do you even know how expensive marketing is? lets just put it this way, pump and dump coins spend close to a million usd to market for a few months, how expensive would it be to market 24/7/365?
KORE is not KoreCoin, totally legit new devs who have saved the original project. Join their Discord and find out, we have and are now a masternode, supporting the project. Shame that you jump to conclusions and post libel like this without doing the real research. Nothing wrong with a previous investor taking over a collapsing project.
