Crypto in Real World: Binance Donates $1 Million To Victims of West Japan Floods

This is the sort of things the crypto community can do, to really demonstrate how crypto can help change the world for the better.

On Saturday the 7th of July 2018, Japan has been hit with heavy rainfall which subsequently caused a significant number of floods and landslides. According to a BBC report, over 60 people have died and about a dozen people have been reported missing. PM Shinzo Abe has ordered the evacuation of two million people in the disaster zones.

Binance, on the the other hand, has urged users to donate to the cause by sending ETH or ERC-20 tokens to the wallet mentioned in their official post.

The specific Ethereum wallet has si far received about $90,000 worth of ETH and $1.05 Million worth of ERC-20 tokens.
