Not a matter if ETH will overtake BTC but when...The tx fees for Bitcoin are just as much as millions of people make in a day.

You are right..... but not as many people are talking about the same scaling issues and fees now with ETH.

It is not as bad, but it is not the grand daddy BTC either. It needs to also be addressed.

Every ERC 20 compliant token will experience similar blockchain scaling issues if the fix is not addressed at the code level, same as BTC.... or anything else, really

At this point, you just have to move your money to a blockchain that has smaller tax fees. This is the only option that I see at the moment if you have to make a lot of transactions per day for say business use.

That rally means a lot @barrydutton. My Wife and I just graduated from BYU this April and are looking for are next adventure. Luckily we had no debt after school. I jot a job offer at a finance advisor but this last year learned about cryptocurrency from a book my mom got me for my birthday (Book: Disrupt You). Funny she was the one that sparked it all. Who would have guessed! But I dont feel I can honestly sell traditional investments at the job offer I got to start in July. I feel I would only be selling them underperforming investments that would never help them in the long run. Knowing what I know now how could I take that job and feel good about doing it...

ETH is being implemented into so many projects.

ETH is technically the gas that powers ETH based projects and some people forget or do not know that.

More projects, = more gas needed....

enter what I have been saying that ETH Classic does the same thing but costs (today) around 15/18x less and runs essentially the same codebase.

There is so much to follow in this crypto space, nobody can keep up with it all. Just do your best, read balanced sources of news, not FUD/FOMO stuff, which is propaganda used to often manipulate the markets, use your charts, and buy the dips.

Try not to get overwhelmed, believe me, I know about that in life.

There are a lot of factors to consider for any move, in any direction.

Some are market based factors.

Some are personal factors that differ from person to person or family angles.

Bitshares and Steem are more likely to use the EOS blockchain, as they're based on the same tech. Bitshares is up over 300% the past week, 980% the past month, and over a whopping 10,000% the past 3 months. And it's just getting started.

The inevitable "flippening" has been under way for some time. There is no way Bitcoin's fees can continually be sustained, not many users are willing to pay such a ridiculous fee. I thought PayPal was high way robbery and here we have Bitcoin.

No matter what solution is proposed for Bitcoin, with its civil war between the developers and the miners, it's a lose-lose for everyone that owns Bitcoin, at least for a short period after the implementation.

A side note, Ethereum will also run into the same struggles as Bitcoin unless they successfully transition to proof of stake.
