I totally agree with you. Initially when i joined steemit, i love making cryptocurrency post, but i don't make much on them compared to when i write about health post. So i switched niche😊
Thanks. I do have a small audience that likes these posts, but I have an even larger audience that likes my literary posts. And the literary posts sometimes get upvoted by whales and dolphins, or get picked up by one of the popular curation trails. Those things never happen to these crypto news pieces.
Business sense aside, personally I enjoy the writing stuff more. Don't get me wrong I enjoy crypto news but I think for me I am usually looking for specific topics to read on. But I'm just a minnow with a worthless opinion. All I can say is keep up the great work!
Thanks @balticbadger. And your opinion is not worthless. I appreciate the feedback.
This is precisely why I'm considering the change. I have many more people following me like you who like the fiction and poetry more than the crypto news. They might read the news and enjoy it, but it isn't the thing that keeps them coming back. And they can get the news anywhere else. They can't get #farmpunk anywhere else. :-)
Thanks for weighing in @steemflow. I keep my portfolio plenty diversified. Wall Street wizards move their pawns around from day to day and stay diversified. When metals are up and real estate is down, they shift things around. Maybe they sell some metals and buy some real estate. Then, when real estate is up and metals are down, they do the reverse. If I know I can earn more by posting a fiction piece, which I enjoy writing more and most of my readers enjoy reading more, then I might as well do that.
I appreciate the comment, though. Thanks for your input.
Hahaha....you just brief me about entire stock market 👍 ....ever for few days i too wondering which way the waves are blowing...nothing with my post i was looking at overall. ...i find 3- topic which people really like...blockchai, photography, story( fiction)....anyone having master on these have wings to fly...though downtime and crypto going low again nothing can be said
@blocurator. The bear market has a lot to do with the decline in your post payouts . Blockfolio has now moved from my first page to my second page on my iPhone. I am definitely reading more articles because the market is now flooded with everyone giving their two cents. Clicking on lists to see who is knowledgable from the not so is a strain so I avoid them completely because I believe in my mind . No one has a clue what’s going on. I don’t believe in TA in crypto unless the markets are ranging because it seems to me any morsel of bad news from whatever country is sending them plummeting . The first time I read a review of last week was your one just there and I actually quite like it . “The eth fan boys won’t be happy “ 😂😂😂. Brilliant. Crypto needs some knowledgable reviewers. Keep it going. Then when the bull hits all the newbies would have giving up posting their two cents.
I'm not talking about the bear market. I'm comparing post rewards. No matter the price of STEEM from one day to the next, my crypto digests are always going to earn less than my fiction. It's been tested from the day I joined Steemit.
There could be several reasons for this:
The competition for cryptocurrency posts is higher and therefore it's harder to get the attention.
People who are interested in crypto haven't discovered me yet.
The people who enjoy my crypto posts enjoy them as much for the humor, or more, than the news and people who are really interested in the news don't care for the humor.
It could be that I have not found the right audience for them. Once I do, I could see my earnings go up. But honestly, it's not worth it to me to go out and find that audience for a one day a week post. I can still do better with my fiction, I think.

You're welcome.
I like this so I hope you can keep doing but my little vote can't do much about the issue of a low earning.

As better said diversify your portfolio.....keep everything around with each day something special. Crypto, litrature, writing fiction......😉
