RE: My Thoughts on Cryptocurrency Prices

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Steemit is in a unique position to allow people to invest in steem without the need for lots of electricity, always connected high speed Internet, esoteric Bitcoin mining hardware, or a large cash investment. As bitcoin mining becomes more restricted, steem and other altcoins prices may >increase.

Good news but I'm thinking what will be the fate of us poor souls when the high and mighty troop down?

There have even been cases of people being >robbed at gunpoint to get cryptocurrency.

Yes that part. Its transparency is both the blessing and the curse of the blockchain.

Well, the high and mighty have had a historical record of doing many grievous things. Perhaps this time around we can at least document it all as a permanent record in the Steem blockchain if anything should happen.

If we can just get the system to work more for us instead of against us, I think many of our current issues could be quickly fixed. I believe that when people feel safe and secure they are far more productive (at least as far as anything requiring intelligence or contemplation) and the things we are collectively facing in the near term may require a level of cooperation we have not yet seen.
