RE: Introducing the Cheddur app: Your Personal Guide to Digital Currency :)

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

This looks great! I doubt steemit is the best place to spread the word, though. I mean, we're all pretty informed about cryptocurrency already. But what vexes me is that there is a plethora of computer science students who don't know a thing about crypto. I would think that people in the tech industry have heard about bitcoin already. But my dad, who has been working an IT job for Equifax (he is QA for lifelock), did not know about BTC until I told him. Honestly, most middle-class people have no motivation to use BTC because they think it's a scam, too hard to use, or that it's pointless because it looks pretty much like PayPal and they don't want to have to convert large amounts of money to BTC and back. When they convert to BTC, most people are using PayPal and buying through CoinBase. So they have to pay the Paypal TX fee plus the BTC TX fee. Rather, most people would just use PayPal instead of BTC. I really wish people started adopting BTC, but nobody seems to think it plausible.

Thanks for the compliment!

I know that most people here are seasoned vets, but that certainly doesn't disqualify you from getting a ton of value out of the app! I'm marketing the app as noob-first, but the app is equal (if not more) value for experienced users, too.

Since you already know what's going on, you'd probably want to use the Cheddur app to check in on prices (you can add coins to your watchlist). Or to check out new and upcoming coin launches and ICOs. Or to add your addresses to start receving tips / payments / donations from followers / friends / family. Or maybe you're looking for a new wallet or exchange because the old one you were using starts to suck.

Whenever and wherever the inspiration strikes on your crypto journey, we strive to have an answer for ya. Cheddur is an app that grows with you. As your questions become more advanced with the more you learn, you start to dig a little bit deeper beneath the surface. But the answer should always be there. An example of this is our coin and service filters. Newcomers probably won't even see or use this, but power users can slice and dice and filter and sort the data to their hearts content to find EXACTLY what they're looking for :)

By sharing your experiences (in the form of reviews and coin addresses), you'll be helping both your dad and mine get started with the best coins and services without having to make the same mistakes we did!

Cheddur is packed with features. Download it and give it a try, and let me know what you think in this comment thread. I think you'll be happy :)
