Consider buying Ripple (XRP) not as a coin which can be traded on daily basis, but as buying some stake in that company... Ripple is gaining traction among banks, as they solve one of pressing issues of Real Time payments... XRP is not expected to be volatile like ETH or BTC, if it is then volatility will hurt their business model. There were some serious issues with ex c0-founder, but now its a matter of the past

True and i can understand that,
But how in the future of cryptocurrencies and getting away from banks/fees/interest rates/3rd party holdings and less fiat money and more a cashless society, does me investing in a bank help the technology of tomorrow or even my back pocket?
Banks wont go away overnight... Cryptocurrency is not developed enough to facilitate entire banking system, its not that scalable... banks and blockchain will coexists for now..
