I'm new to steemit and cryptocurrency in general, and I'm looking to learn by jumping in and getting my feet wet. I don't have a ton to spend, but I've heard that there are a bunch of altcoins that are less than one cent apiece. I'm hoping that some of you who are more knowledgable can give me some tips on what to buy (or outright tell me what I should buy).
Or if you have any resources that would be a good place to start for a beginner, please let me know so I can get started. Thanks!
buy some bitcoin
I've read that bitcoin just had a big jump, so it might not be the best idea to buy some right now. Is that the wrong advice?
With all due respect I think that is the wrong advice. We're just getting started...
In that case, I'll look into picking up some bitcoin. Thanks again.
Look for coins that also runs a service which could potentially replace one of the bigger centralized ones (brokers, banks, amazon, ebay, spotify, netflix etc)
Thanks for the tip!
Look for privacy coins. They are the future.
Sounds intriguing. I'll look into those. Thanks!
Rule number one would be know what you are buying. So you should study and read what gives the tokens value.
A good resource would be @marketingmonk's cryptoversity videos on youtube.

Thank you so much for the recommendation! I'll do some more research.
