Recent William Mougayar's article " Why the Blockchain Needs More Failures" sent me understand criptocurrencies eco system as antifragile. In "Antifragile: Things that gain from disorder" in chapter 4 Nassim Taleb described antifragility by leyers. Allow me to paraphrase:
" The fragility of every startup is necessary for the economy to be antifragile, and that’s what makes, among other things, entrepreneurship work: the fragility of individual entrepreneurs and their necessarily high failure rate. Single cryptocurrencies are fragile; they compete with each other, but the collective of cryptocurrencies eco system is antifragile for that very reason. Some parts on the inside of a system may be required to be fragile in order to make the system antifragile as a result. Sadly, the benefits of errors are often conferred on others, the collective—as if individuals were designed to make errors for the greater good, not their own."
