How I generated the list
Using the cryptocompare coinlist API, I thought it may be interesting to see and compare multiple logos. These are all sorted by the SortOrder returned by their API.
I'm also using Steemit to resize these, like so:
A nifty trick I picked up recently that I thought you all may find useful as well.
Observations
- A lot of yellow/gold, which would make sense from a currency perspective.
- Quite a bit of black/dark gray, are those mostly privacy coins?
- A few green/leafy logos - I wonder if those are coins without PoW.

Interesting, but I didn't see STEEM on there. Steem is definitely one of the top coins amd is getting bigger and bigger.
It appears that's due to the
SortOrder. Here's what the object for STEEM looks like:"STEEM":{"Id":"20333","Url":"/coins/steem/overview","ImageUrl":"/media/350907/steem.png","Name":"STEEM","CoinName":"Steem","FullName":"Steem (STEEM)","Algorithm":"N/A","ProofType":"Pow","FullyPremined":"1","TotalCoinSupply":"99692126","TotalCoinsMined":"99692126","PreMinedValue":"N/A","TotalCoinsFreeFloat":"N/A","SortOrder":"526"}You'll see it has a
SortOrderof526, which seems a little high to me. It's likely a little biased, given it's based on:I could likely run the coinmarketcap API and sort by the true market cap rankings though if people would find that useful.
My favorites are Bitcoin and Reddcoin.
