The value of a currency is linked to its transactional value (not only: there may be also a store of value component). At the moment a tiny amount of global transactions are settled in bitcoins.

Should the percentage increase to single digit level of global settlement demand, then values in the 100k or 1m are very possible.

But there are various other currencies that are targeting the settlement market (bitshares, ripple for instance) and they may take a big chunk of this market out from bitcoin.

So a portfolio of cryptocurrencies is probably a better approach to capitalise on this effect rather than a single play on bitcoin.

Yes @belgarath, you are right. I depends on usage and the reality is: now a few people use BTC and altcoins but after 2-3 years this number will be higher and higher.
So I hope near 100k is possible. Let see later :-)
