in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

I read someone has sold 12000 BTC on Bitfinex and then a small DIP occurred!

These kind of moves mostly happen when a big margin trader is forced to close his position, and the forced liquidation triggers other margin traders' orders, which causes a chain reaction.

I wouldn't call it manipulation.

@techwizardy - I think you are right here. A lot of what we are seeing is due to "high leverage" trading. BTW high leverage trading is a GREAT way to lose it all... Just my opinion.

That’s a strong dip for sure. Not sure why they’d be selling at these prices unless they’re front running market manipulators. I think we’re in for YTD lows this week. We’ll see what happens. Thanks for the update!

The market stay all the time around the same market cap and big players seem to manipulate their position!

Selling assests such as crypto is really a subjective decision. People are always not in the same circumstances with one another. Maybe that guy just need a lot of money or he bought BTC at the highest price and now afraid that it will go down so he cashed out some.

Never invest more you can afford to lose.

I see. I was also wondering what caused such massive dip. Thanks for telling that. At least it hasn't been caused by a FUD. So, there is hope that prices would rise again.

Definitely, the price has the potential to rise again!

this pattern happening over and over again
