RE: Cryptocurrency and Steemit in the Philippines - Changing Lives, Changing the World!

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

There are at least 30 million users of facebook in the Philippines that accounts to 30% of the population in the country. More and more Filipino would rather switch to Steemit social media platform which make sense of incentives. The Philippine Government is actively regulating cryptocurrency which is good, there are 86% of Filipino don't have access to banks, therefore it is a good opportunity as a developing country especially to those poor to get acquainted to crypto. I think 80% of banks(small banks) would rather mine cryptocurrency rather than using there expensive services that will only exploit there people. :)

Agreed. It is so much easier for a user in the PH to download/install a digital currency wallet then open a bank account. The additional advantage is that they don't have to maintain a minimum balance and be constantly charged fees. They also control the wallet.

Incentives will definitely also encourage more users to join Steemit and the potential to earn more than a regular low paying salary anywhere else will keep them coming back. Access to technology, education on cryptocurrencies and platforms such as Steemit, and cheaper electricity costs will help foster substantial growth.
