One Author Explains Why Lotteries Need To Be Built On The Blockchain Without Even Realizing It

According to an article published by the Washington Post on June 12th, state lotteries in the United States may be compromised.

This recent criticism comes from a lobbying effort which convinced Georgia governor Nathan Deal to sign legislation which allows lottery jackpot winners to claim their winnings anonymously. While this rule was ostensibly proposed to allow lottery winners to claim life-changing prize pools without immediately becoming a public figure, the author of this article feels that there may be a more sinister motivation behind it.

After a New Hampshire judge ruled that the winner of a $560 million Powerball winner was allowed to keep her identity secret, it seems that other states are copying their example.

The author further explains how a former executive from the Multi-State Lottery Association plead guilty to tampering with software which allowed him to predict lottery numbers from nearly half a dozen state lotteries.

These are all legitimate concerns. Human beings are fallible, after all. This is where blockchain technology has an advantage over standard state lotteries or even online lotteries. Because everything is immutable in the blockchain, cheating is virtually impossible.

With over 20 years experience in the lottery game, we know this. We built AfroMillionsLotto, one of the biggest lottery providers in Africa. We run over 30 lotteries for charitable and sports organizations. And as we make the transition into blockchain tech, we believe that our experience in the lottery business will lend itself well to our upcoming cryptocurrency lottery platform.
