Nicehash Hacked!!

The members of the Nicehash.com team reported that their cryptocurrency hash power renting service website was hacked. On December 6, they posted on social network that their security system was breached after which the wallets of this website were robbed.

The company was founded in 2014.

The web page can be used to rent their hash power. The fact of robbery was a great resentment from their consumers because their wallets were empty. Afterwards, the Nicehash administration has issued a statement:

"The name of our payments system has disappeared and the money on the web pages' wallet is gone. We work tirelessly to determine the amount of stolen bitcoins. This case is of utmost importance for us and we will do our best about it. Moreover, along with our investigation, the police and the relevant structures are also in the course of the case.

On December 7, the Nicehash administration has been able to verify the amount of stolen bitcoins that is around 4700 btc, which is equivalent to $ 76,000,000.

Live on Facebook the CEO and co-founder Marco Kobal provided more information to the interested community. The attack began on December 6, in the early hours. Hacker broke in one of the companies worker's PC. Exactly how this happened is still unclear and is under investigation. For a few hours, hackers were stuck in the company system, at 3:34 CET they started to move funds to another address where funds are still untouched. If you enter this address (1EnJHh88Jq8vDuZA5ahVh6H4t6jh1mB4rq) you will see that the amount of money is 4736.43 BTC.
