I think there are just more and more people investing into Bitcoin that is causing such a large surge in value.
Euphoria, institutional investor interest, mainstream price, etc.. I don't know if any can really explain it though because it's been totally parabolic

It looks like all of the main crypto currencies have just exploded. Going to be interesting the coming months. I guess the big question is whether or not Bitcoin can get too big.
First step on mainstream adaptation. Sure there will be some pullbacks and retracing but the train is far from over! Let's not talk about the altcoin season that is soon to follow!
It is getting a lot of attention, everyone in my office was talking about bitcoins today, 2 weeks ago i was one among the few who kept talking about it. Now everyone talks about them and about investing and getting rich :D
