Great show as always Bobby. I have been quite lucky recently during these dips as I hold a sizable portion of my holdings in Populous (PPT) which has actually done amazing recently even during all these dips, as well as NEO which has also held its own fairly well for the most part. That being said this constant bad news stuff does still suck overall, but I would rather we get this crap out of the way sooner then later (Bitconnect... Tether... all the rest of possible problems).
Anyways keep up the good work!
It sucks, but overall, I remain positive in the long-term. I'd rather get this crap out with Tether out of the way now than much further down the road.
These guys make the best crypto related podcast by far, glad you could get them on. These guys' Tezos updates are always hilarious. The point about FUD is absolutely true, probably the worst aspect of talking about cryptocurrency. It makes it impossible to offer legitimate analysis of coins and puts people into impenetrable bubbles of groupthink.
Dudes from Crypto Street Podcast are hilarious, was so happy to have some time to shoot the shit with them, really enjoyed it and glad you you like them as well!
Once tether is gone I am sure bitcoin will flourish. Having cryptocurrency pegged to any standard only holds the space back, as so many investors only look at price over value.
However, tether will be approached with caution, as I am certain regulators do not wish to punish those unknowingly holding tether. Tether will probably continue to print as much as possible until they go down, even though it will eventually die it's value is being pegged to other cryptocurrencies when they are bought. It is such a complicated issue, and the only collateral a regulator could look to take would be other cryptos, since tether should be worth $0.
I also don't think this will have a larger affect on the crypto space. In many ways, what's done is done in the crypto space, in that there is no way a regulator could look to devalue other coins that have been propped up by tether. And even if bitfinex is completely taken down, this only lowers circulating supply and would help every crypto owner, other than those on bitfinex. The only affect any news has is speculation. If every single investor thinks it is the end of the world, it will be the end of the world. But I wouldn't be panicking in the first place.
Great stuff bobby
ok lets talk at discord..
So many seas of red makes me think that crypto is on an extended period.
Great interview! Thank for bringing the news about tether in such a cheerful way, that was really entertaining to watch. I hope the market doesn't take months to recover.
Always love the content you put out, finding ways to make each session unique, creative, and fun. Hopefully the market can recover from today's pullback soon, as it feels like evry step forward now comes with two steps back!
