Too much security, is it ok?

As our dear fellow @newsteemians suggested me to "keep your master password safe", I tried to follow his advice.

I thought I kept my password very safe, so I printed it out and removed it from the computer, "so it's safe now" thought I ... until I needed it ... turns out that I had lost it, as a small piece of paper it was just disappeared ...

I looked everywhere ...under the pillow, under junk on my desk, turned upside down trashcan ... nothing ... it was just disappeared. So I let all settle down for two weeks, meanwhile building rigs and developed some combined water cooled rigs.

I've learned that sometimes time helps you out, so it was this time too (lucky me), I moved some things and there it was, I found it, I was just put it on my desk for move it to safe storage, you know fireproof box you can buy from eBay ... so anyway I didn't put it right away and something disturb me, so I forget it to my desk and it get covered with other stuff.

So ...how safe is safe or is it sometimes little overkill? ... as you can see from my experience, be aware, to not make it too safe.
