1.In my opinion I think that Ripple is a highly undervalued coin with a lot of potential and It only costs 23 cents at the time of this blog being written so you don't need to invest a lot of money to get a good return on investment.
2.Ripple is working with some of the largest financial institutions in the world, for example, Bank of America and Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi. These banks are currently commercially developing Ripple and working on adding it to the current banking system that the bank uses. So it's almost a guarantee that Ripple's Interledger Protocol will be used by banks.
3.Ripple's ILP is currently the fastest possible way to send money across borders, 4 seconds and saves banks 60% on processing fees because it cuts out intermediary banks. 4 second transactions would also improve customer satisfaction because they won't have to 5-6 days to send money to another country.
4.Ripple's ILP can handle 1000 transactions per second, compared to bitcoins 3-6 TPS and Ethereums 15, therefore Ripple was built for scalable use which will allow it to be use by large financial institutions that send billions and even trillion dollars worth of fiat currency across borders every year. If Bitcoin's blockchain was used by many banks at once it would cause the payments to be incredibly slow than they already are.
5.Ripple has many different investors including one of the largest silicon valley corporations, Google. Big corporations never invest into companies that they don't see huge potential with. Miguel Vias, Head of markets at Ripple, buys as much Ripple as he can, his wife even gets mad at him because he spends so much on it. That means that he knows something that nobody else knows except for the people who work at Ripple, and that gives me confidence that the Ripple currency will soar in value
I think the thing that scare's people the most is the semi-centralisation. Although I own some ripple, I am also slight cagey due to the huge circulating supply. I also do think it does have the potential for major future growth however as it's market cap could grow substantially.
i agree, but that large circulating supply is for the banks, they are expected a lot of money to be flowing through the ripple currency
I wish coinbase would offer Ripple as a cryptocurrency. I keep hearing they will add other types of cryptos but not sure when that will happen.

Totally get your logic about Ripple, do not get me wrong the tech within is stable and fast, mainly due to the financial institutions behind it. But as a Crypto purist and long time crypto movement enthusiast that is here for fixing the issues due to the central banking corruption, just can't bring myself to invest in these guys. I am sure there is a lot of money to be made but I believe that is mainly why they aren't going anywhere, too many in crypto that knows who backs Ripple and just not for going backwards in that original movement. I say this too about Ethereum seeing JP Morgan is involved in that one. I get people are here for money, but standing for what crypto was intended for is way more valuable to me as an individual. Its a great bit of tech, I do agree with you there but I think that inner principle makes a lot of crypto investors not feed that bank backed machine.
nice information, thanks!!
Thanks for the tips.
You ALMOST convinced me to buy some.... :) i had a dream and saw XRP at $1.25... still haven't bought any though... just too many coins out there for my taste, but if banks do adopt it worldwide, it should go up! all the best
xrp will reach 200$+ if it experiences a mass adoption
Someone made a post on Ripple yesterday and it got me intrigued in xrp.
Thanks for posting more info to read up on.
Im definitely planning on grabbing some for my portfolio.

Why did you say that to frag there but one of your tags is upvoteforupvote? I'm personally on the fence about Ripple. The semi centralization makes it hard for me to trust it. And I get large banks are looking into it but nothing has come of it so far. My biggest thing also is not everything in Ripple is all that unique to it. Many new currencies over low transaction fees and a high number of transactions. Even Etheruem which you mention is scalable unlike bitcoin. It's doubtful that there will be a problem with transaction times within the Etheruem network. Don't get me wrong Ripple has good potential. But it also faces tough competition from competitors such as Zcash which appears to have better security/anonymity features. I went ahead and purchased some which I'll be holding. But to me Ripple is more 50-50 that maybe it'll take off and maybe it wont. Going to wait and see.
bear in mind that SWIFT are working on their own blockchain solution... ripple are essentially trying to take swifts business... all banks currently use swift to transfer money. if swift blockchain product works, there's a good chance the banks will stay with the company they already know...
Tend to agree with you. Is a good investment and an extremely efficient option of exchange. However, I tend to agree with @davidwallace. The centralized aspect, which goes completely against the whole cyrto world standard and the fact that the entire supply is out in abundance and from my understanding the Ripple creators own something like 80% (don't quote me on that) of those coins. I know they put a plan into place to release them slowly over time in order not to dilute the price of ripple to fast. Just seems weird. Again, the fact that the banks are backing this so strongly worries me as well. Again, I do think it has great potential and will do great.
Also agree with all your points... guess it comes down to a subjective choice after this. Thanks for the post. Upvoted and followed you. Feel free to do the same. Cheers.
I am buying and holding 10.000 ripples i'm ready to wait the time it will take even 15 year . The reason i believe in ripple is less fluctuation but when it will rise it will be steady you watch !
