I am interested in YOUR opinion!
With all the panic going around caused by the recent market crash I find myself feeling the complete opposite of most people, I am excited, this is a MASSIVE opportunity to buy. Almost EVERYTHING is down and I find myself spoiled for choice.
My instinct is to invest more into Steem, but I have already done a lot of that this month, Bitcoin and Ethereum are usually good choices but I am not convinced that it is the best time to buy. Last night I read a post saying that Reddcoin is a good choice, and I don't know if I agree. I have seen a resurgence of people thinking Litecoin is next on the list to pass $100 and there are the Dash guys who are getting excited by the recently announced road map. Ripple is getting more attention by the banks recently, which means that could be an excellent place to invest and we have PIVX getting some attention recently.
I can't make my mind up for the first time since I started trading and sometimes it is best to hear different opinions. In some cases opposing opinions are the most valuable! What do YOU think is the smart play here? Invest heavily in Steem Power? Steem Dollars? Bitcoin? Altcoin? or is now the time to buy a PoS coins and start staking?
Let me know what you think, and give me a reason why you think it.
Happy trading!

Short term gain i would say go with Reddcoin cus they got Redd ID coming out soon and new core wallet design. For long term definitely go with either Litecoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum or DASH . All have good roadmap a head.
Yeah I should have specified I was taking about short term. The long term plays are much easier to predict.
you put "now" in the title but judging things short term can be difficult with unprecedented events ahead
Sure it's difficult, that is sort of the point of the post haha
Since there isn't a concensus, I am hoping to get enough feedback to get some sense of what people think.
true, good point, same reason why I scour the youtube for what people are thinking
I believe bitcoin has been a good spot to keep your crypto, comparatively it hasn't been dropping as much as other cryptos, but I think that ethereum and litecoin will do well in the coming month because of uncertainty with bitcoins whole month of august.
Steem I believe is a good investment for this month but is perhaps more risky.
I agree, Bitcoin having a comparatively low dip also means less opportunity for keeping bitcoin. It's the old risk/reward game again.
Yes indeed there is no reason to panic because cryptos always climb their way back up. For investing I think of steem and DASH. Because DASH seems very promising and it could be the next big thing. And I deeply trust steem so it's a no brainer :D
Thanks for your feedback, Steem is such a good deal at the moment, you are right, it is hard not to Invest.
For me LTC, ETC, BTC and ANS.
ANS huh? You think it is not too late?
Why would it be too late? Lots of development and changes going on and changing the brand name to NEO would help as well. I bought at a low and going to HODL.
For me, TenX or MCO or platforms like Steem or LBRY
Interesting, What makes you think LBRY is a good play? I looked into it and while it does look good I don't know if I would classify it as one of the best.
LBRY is in a trading pattern atm. It's had a slump lately, and because its newer we don't know how well it will be received. It's much better than most crypto because of its lineage. Another thing to watch in the next week.
I think bitcoin will surge after the price correction resulting in some nice short-term gains.

The problem I see with that is that it seems pretty 50/50. Either it plummets further or starts climbing again. Thanks for the feedback.
No offense, but that's extremely simplistic view to hold. All are 50/50 by that logic. Lets look at performance history.
That is only true all things being equal. Not all things are equal. That's like saying everything with two options is 50/50 so you might as well buy a lottery ticket because there are only two outcomes, either you win or lose. But that isn't 50/50. Just because something has two outcomes does not suggest they are equal.
I am suggesting that Bitcoin is at a critical point right now and betting it will go up short term might not be the best play.
See, but you think like a trader. Bitcoin is now reaching true bubble potential as the uninformed public becomes aware of crypto investing. Bitcoin will undoubtedly surge in the coming months on name recognition alone. I remember prior to the recent good surge a few months back I asked a friend that's a financial advisor what he thought about bitcoin and he said to "run away". Since then everybody has been buzzing about it. It's starting to create brand power akin to Google=search engine. At least in my experience. (Worldwide recognition, I couldn't say.) For an upcoming short term, good bet I think. And I concede to the 50/50 statement. My interpretation of your reply was simplistic.
That is a good point, maybe I should pay more attention to the new and uninformed as important factors. Thanks for the feedback.
Big fan of Stratis here. Written a few posts about them.
I would not buy into Ethereum anymore. Technical and architectural issues.
I think Dash will make moves now if they deliver according to their updated roadmap. Perhaps Verge can become a hit. Reddcoin will only get somewhere if they FINALLY get to release their ReddID.
Interesting, Stratis. Hadn't even occurred to me truth be told. I read up about it pretty in depth at the start of the year but never invested. Might have to look back into it.
That would be my top suggestion. Perhaps even as Ethereum killer. They're a proper BAAS (blockchain as a service) provider. Sidechains versus Ethereums single chain which can apparently be brought down by one single DAPP.
In this post I wrote about the Decision made
But wagerr to not build upon Ethereum because of that: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@valderrama/wagerr-did-not-choose-ethereum-for-withdrawal-of-tokens
This says a lot.
Interesting. Thanks for the feedback.
heey what do you think about the future of REDDCOIN ?? @upbuzz
I bought 100,000 DGB at 607 satoshi's. Also loaded up on NEM, SIA, and ANS. I believe all have great technology and are medium to long term coins. Everyone is saying DGB is shit but once in my life I'm doing the opposite of everybody else. Only time will tell who made the right choices.
Well if you are going to buy Digi now seems like the best time to. It dropped so much over the last month or so.
It can't go much lower, can it? Hahaha
I hope not for your sake lol
Hi, Nice content, I am new in steem as well, I am always promised to the community to bring good content always, here is some electricity saving tips, it may be useful to you or other miners.

Well, in my opinion u can invest in many cryptocurrencies but choose ones with bright future invest more in cryptocurrencies with less value and less with the one that have a higher price. I have treated STEEM case in one of my posts you can check it if you have time and if you are interested in investment in general and not just in cryptocurrencies, my posts' theme for the moment is investment so I advise you to check them up if possible of course ! Wish you a good luck with your investment !!
