Is it possible to buy with fiat at bitshares and can I get my coins directly into my wallet? Never used it before.
Off-topic question: Where is this wonderful beach you're standing on?

I'd like to know this too. My understanding is that you have to buy with fiat at an exchange like coinbase and this transfer it to bitshares. If there is a more direct way, I'd like to know.
With Openledger there is a way using the ccedk exchange (https://www.ccedk.com/). Im not up to speed on how to do this. But I bet @ash is.
I just made a bitshare account. It seems to be possible to deposit fiat via openledger.
But from germany (europe?) you need to have an verified account. To get verified you need to send pictures of your national ID.
For an address verfication they need a copy of an utility or electricity bill .
buy with fiat at bitshares by openledger,it does work well.
Here's how I do it:
I buy Litecoin with cash from someone I know. Then I deposit the Litecoin using OpenLedger. In OpenLedger (or BitShares app) go to the exchange for the BTS:LTC trading pair. See the picture and note the place where it says Deposit Open.LTC
Click on that and send your LTC to OpenLedger. Once it is there (and it does take a few minutes for it to show up), you can then make trades or buy orders with LTC to buy BitShares.
Note: You can also do the same thing with Steem and Steem Backed Dollars (SBD) and send them directly from Steemit to OpenLedger. It works great!
