Using Crypto

It seems like crypto is getting easier and easier to use everyday now with new crypto payment platforms launching everyday. That said we did go backwards somewhat when steam and a few other companies removed bitcoin as a means of payment back in December. However, that was at a time were transaction fees were around $40 and I don't think anyone would buy a $60 dollar game and a $40 fee on top of that. However, now we are seeing much more reasonable fees of around $2.50 this once again enables bitcoin to be used for smaller purchases. That said we all know bitcoin isn't the only crypto just this week Litepay was announced and is in a closed beta. Not only will this platform have advantages for retailers like significantly lower transaction fees then credit cards, but it also enables consumers to use Litecoin for goods and services. Along side Litepay they also announced a Litecoin card which can be loaded with Litecoin and used pretty much anywhere you can even take out cash at an atm with it if you want. Since Litecoin is such a large coin this could be another step forward in making cryptos easy to spend. But still even if Litepay isn't a huge success there are other options like retailers that use CoinPayments.net for payment. Just today I bought a bottle opener with Zencash. Here's to hoping 2018 will see an increase in adoption of using cryptos for payment.
