RE: Now that EOS uses the NEO consensus mechanism, what makes EOS better? 🤔

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Eos has 500 ms blocks, uses a different voting scheme, and allows block producing to continue so long as at least one honest node exists.

Furthermore consensus is just one component of a system. Even if the systems used similar consensus the rest of the design is even more critical than consensus algo.

It like saying what makes Apple different, it used the same cpu as every other P.C. operating system matters for performance, security, and developers.

Thank you for responding to this personally!A reply from @dan himself! I'm honoured!!!

Is there no risk of NEO increasing it's blockspeed/tps by upgrading their hardware specs for nodes? Or is there simply no way for them to have a similar tps as EOS will have?

It’s not just tps but quality of tps

Hi @dan, love seeing you online communicating. Did you see my eos public testnet installation yesterday ( as a non developer;-)
